Gynecologic Oncology Research Division
Today, the main task that lies ahead of the Division is provide a research basis for combination therapy of gynecological pathologies in the context of high-tech health care.
This task is being tackled within the framework of an interdisciplinary research program entitled ‘Defining the standards for the diagnosis, and combination and multimodality treatment of cancer patients with regard to implementation of minimally invasive endovideosurgical technologies’.
To provide diagnostic services, a day patient facility was opened; the facility extensively uses hysteroscopy to remove polyps of the endometrium and the cervical canal, to perform target biopsy and ablation, and to perform conization of the cervix and colposcopy.
To sustain its international partnerships, the Division organizes international conferences and symposiums.
